 We Didn’t Land On The Moon 

Due to a location away from the main nightlife zones, this quirkily named bar attracts mostly Thai patrons. It is done out in a minimalist style and doubles as a cocktail bar and art gallery. Beers are served here too, while the music is contemporary but primarily Thai. We Didn’t Land on the Moon Since 1987 is on Soi Mengrairasmee in the Chang Phuak area of Chiang Mai. It is across the road from the YMCA Hotel.

CHIANG MAI GATE AREA

 Doo Dee Pub 

A converted timber-framed Thai house, the Doo Dee is a homely pub a couple of minutes south of Chiang Mai Gate. The bar area is downstairs and an open-sided dining area upstairs. Mean Margaritas and blue lagoon cocktails imported European and Thai beers, wines, juices, steaks, pizzas and Thai fusion specialities await at this TripAdvisor recommended establishment.

HANG DONG AREA

 The Lazy Farang 

The Lazy Farang is a recent addition to Chiang Mai’s pub scene and, even though it is a little way from the downtown zones, is worth a visit. The bar is in the Nong Kwai area of Hang Dong and is chic, comfortable and has lots of room. There is a beer garden outside with a barbecue stall. The Lazy Farang sells Thai and imported beers at preferential prices and also has a fair choice of spirits. Thai and Dutch snacks and meals are served every evening.
